2016 CBHL Annual Literature Award

Both members and publishers are invited to fill this form when nominating or submitting a title for the 2016 CBHL Annual Literature Award.

To be eligible for the CBHL Annual Literature Award, these titles have to be nominated by a CBHL member before December 22, 2016.

Members may submit more than one title (please use this form once for each title), as long the titles are published after January 1, 2014. Should you want to use a printed version of this form, please contact Celine Arseneault, celine.arsen
@gmail.com

Please, consult guidelines for additional information.

  • Step 1. Tell us about the work you wish to nominate or submit for the CBHL 2025 Annual Literature Award

    Only works published in 2023 and 2024 are eligible for the 2025 Annual Award. Reprints without re-edition are excluded. New editions should bring substantial addition or revision.
  • Please describe your reasons for making this nomination. The committee encourages the nominations to honor diversity, equity and inclusion. We also believe these concepts intersect with the current science of climate change. We encourage nominators to include language about how the nominee helps bring these topics forward and in what ways it makes a significant contribution to the literature related to botany, horticulture and/or fields specific to our membership concerns. Comments supporting the nomination may be of any length. Please, avoid copying book reviews or catalog descriptions.
  • Step 2. Tell us who you are

    Please note : CBHL members' entries are nominations. These include institutional, individual and commercial members. Non-member publishers' entries are submissions. These entries will have to be sponsored by a CBHL member. No eligible submission by a non-member or a non-publisher.

This welcoming and interdependent community shares information, questions, practices, observations and ideas peer-to-peer with others in the field. We can consult with each other on any aspect of our work and receive the benefit of diverse experiences, perspectives and referrals. We act as an informal ILL system, connecting our library users with what they need. Annual meetings and a quarterly newsletter keep us all connected. Those who also serve CBHL develop organizational skills that enhance what we do collectively and in our own institutions. CBHL has enabled me to be a better librarian and has welcomed me to a vibrant network of friends and colleagues. Truly essential."
