The CBHL Newsletter keeps members advised of significant events, exhibitions, new publications, notes from the annual meeting, and activities of fellow council members.

The CBHL online distribution list is an electronic forum for discussions among CBHL members.

Institutional members may join the Computer Consortium, a botanical and horticultural resource sharing group. This group access capability is provided through the services of the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC).

Additional resource sharing mechanisms exist in the circulation of duplicates lists and desiderata lists. CBHL facilitates sharing by providing opportunities for its members to circulate such lists to other member libraries.

An annual meeting hosted by a member institution is held each spring. Here members have a chance to meet one another to discuss matters of mutual interest and concern, and have a unique opportunity to get an insider's view of a host institution.
